Terms & Conditions

The ANNUAL CARE PLAN is a Rangiora Vet Centre (RVC) initiative that covers the main preventative health issues of your pet to ensure a long and happy life. The program offers an annual membership to participating clients, allowing them access to select veterinary products and services at discounted rates.
The ANNUAL CARE PLAN focuses on primary preventative care to help keep your pet healthy. It is not an insurance program or a substitute for pet insurance.
Not all veterinary services are covered by the plan. Members are responsible for verifying the services included in the plan.
Members are solely responsible for:
Reading and understanding the terms of the Annual Care Plan and
Ensuring the registered contact details are correct and notifying RVC to update any changes to contact details, including email and phone number
All ANNUAL CARE PLAN benefits and services will be subject to the professional recommendation of the treating veterinarian and availability.
RVC reserves the right to revise ANNUAL CARE PLAN benefits from time to time, within reason to the value of the plan.
ANNUAL CARE PLAN benefits and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or other consideration.
Annual Care Plan benefits may be redeemed only within the ANNUAL CARE PLAN period and expire at the end of each 12-month period or on termination for any reason and do not accumulate.
Any additional goods, services, consultations and/or treatments not covered by the plan (including any additional consultation hours, diagnostic work and medications) will be payable at RVC’s current fee schedule.
Please note that after 12 months RVC will automatically transfer your pet onto the adult plan where usual adult Annual Health Care fees/services apply. RVC will notify you of this transfer in writing before your pet is transferred onto the adult plan.
By joining and continuing use of the RVC Annual Health Care Plan, the member agrees to be bound by the Terms & Conditions
1. Membership and Membership fees
Membership is limited to one (1) nominated Companion Animal (i.e. a domesticated canine or feline) per annual membership. Separate memberships must be purchased for each additional Companion Animal owned by a participating client (‘member’). If multiple plans have been purchased for the nominated Companion Animal, the greater of the discounted services or benefit applies.
Benefits and discounts apply to ONLY the pet mentioned in this agreement. No benefits or discounts can be used or transferred to another pet. Products cannot be purchased for the benefit of a pet other than mentioned in this agreement. RVC Bonus points cannot be earned by purchasing an ANNUAL CARE PLAN. Super Gold Card discounts cannot be added to ANNUAL CARE PLAN benefits.
Membership fees are regulated by ANNUAL CARE PLAN and are as follows:
Payment must be made by direct debit, EFTPOS, Afterpay or Zip
Instalment based repayments can be setup through RVC Practice Management Software (PMS)
Initial payment of registration fee plus 1st month
The balance membership fee is payable over the following 11 months; and
A renewal of annual membership, including the registration fee, paid via direct debit is by 12 equal monthly payments
Registration fees apply per pet, per plan. No discounts apply for multiple plans
Dishonoured direct debits will incur a $10 dishonour fee which is payable at the next direct debit drawing. Discounts will not apply to accounts that are 30 days overdue.
The annual membership fee will be reviewed on 1 April of each year. Members will be advised of any change in the membership fee and subsequent changes will apply from the anniversary of the commencement of membership.
2. Membership Duration and Termination
Membership is on an annual basis commencing from the date of subscription. A renewal notice will be sent to each member at least 1 month prior to expiry of the annual membership. Membership automatically renews for a further 12 month period unless the member notifies RVC otherwise.
Members may opt out of membership at any time by written notification to RVC. Members opting out of membership prior to the expiry of the annual term will be required to pay by direct debit the lesser of:
the total difference between the normal value of the goods/services obtained through the plan and the total of membership payments made to date; or
the remaining total amount of membership fees
refunds are not available
Members may transfer the membership in circumstances where the Companion Animal is sold or given away and the transferee agrees to the terms of membership and provides their direct debit authority to RVC.
Members may terminate their membership where their nominated Companion Animal has died. Where membership is terminated on this basis, the member may be eligible for an adjustment to any remaining membership fees.
3. Annual Membership Services and Benefits
KITTEN & PUPPY ANNUAL CARE PLAN:
Kitten and Puppy Annual Care Plan entitlements (not to be used in conjunction with any other offer):
Subject to the specific benefits and services offered at RVC, member may enjoy the following benefits and services in each 12 month period:
Kittens and puppies are eligible to enroll in this plan after the first vaccination in their primary vaccination course
Standard annual vaccinations as prescribed by the treating veterinarian at the clinic, including puppy & kitten or booster vaccination programs (Including protection against - Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and
Parainfluenza & Bordatella bronchiseptica. (Canine Cough) & Feline Calicivirus, Rhinotracheitis, (Cat flu) and Feline Panleucopaenia). Non-routine vaccinations or vaccinations for exotic or emerging disease conditions are not included in the ANNUAL CARE PLANUnlimited veterinarian and veterinary nurse consultations, providing an appointment has been made with the clinic during normal clinic hours (Monday - Friday). Standard consultations, including routine ear and skin consultations, are included and subject to fair use as set out below:
- Consultations performed without an appointment or outside of normal clinic hours, including weekends and/or public holidays, house calls, referrals, veterinary specialists or behaviour consultations, or which exceed 15 minutes due to the client’s behaviour, are not included in the plan, and additional charges may apply
- Consultations may be performed by a veterinary nurse or veterinarian at the discretion of Rangiora Vet Centre1 annual preventative IDEXX recommended NZ health screen test, including IDEXX Chem 17 including SDMA, IDEXX Standard CBC, Faecal ova & Parasites. Additional charges may apply if comprehensive testing or diagnostic work is required or if the client chooses to upgrade the blood test offered within the plan.
1 microchip is allowed for if required. (eg. your pet is not already microchipped). The subscription includes registration with NZCAR fees
10% discount on retail products
10% discount on medication as prescribed by the treating vet at the clinic
10% discount on desexing procedures
$50 discount voucher for Emergency Vet Hospital, one time use only.
10% discount voucher for RVC Puppy Pre School (for puppies)
$30 Woodend Cattery voucher, one time use time only. (for kittens)
ADULT CAT & DOG ANNUAL CARE PLAN:
Adult Cat and Dog Annual Care Plan entitlements (not to be used in conjunction with any other offer):
Standard annual vaccinations as prescribed by the treating veterinarian at the clinic, including puppy & kitten or booster vaccination programs (Including protection against - Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Parainfluenza & Bordatella bronchiseptica. (Canine Cough) & Feline Calicivirus, Rhinotracheitis, (Cat flu) and Feline Panleucopaenia). Non-routine vaccinations or vaccinations for exotic or emerging disease conditions are not included in the plan.
Unlimited veterinarian and veterinary nurse consultations, providing an appointment has been made with the clinic during normal clinic hours (Monday - Friday). Standard consultations, including routine ear and skin consultations, are included and subject to fair use as set out below:
- Consultations performed without an appointment or outside of normal clinic hours, including weekends and/or public holidays, house calls, referrals, veterinary specialists or behaviour consultations, or which exceed 15 minutes due to the client’s behaviour, are not included in the plan, and additional charges may apply
- Consultations may be performed by a veterinary nurse or veterinarian at the discretion of Rangiora Vet Centre1 annual preventative IDEXX recommended NZ health screen test, including, IDEXX Chem 17 including SDMA, IDEXX Standard CBC, Faecal ova & Para sites. Additional charges may apply if comprehensive testing or diagnostic work is required or if the client chooses to upgrade the blood test offered within the plan

5% discount on Emergency Vet Hospital initial consultation, one time use only.
SENIOR CAT & DOG ANNUAL CARE PLAN:
Senior Cat and Dog Annual Care Plan entitlements (not to be used in conjunction with any other offer). Your vet will confirm at what age your pet will qualify for the Senior program:
Comprehensive nose-to-tail health exam and annual booster vaccination as prescribed by your vet. 1 annual preventative IDEXX recommended NZ health screen test, including IDEXX Chem 17 including SDMA, IDEXX Standard CBC, Faecal ova & Parasites, Total T4 and complete urinalysis. Additional charges may apply if comprehensive testing or diagnostic work is required or if the client chooses to upgrade the blood test offered within the plan.
Unlimited veterinarian and veterinary nurse consultations, providing an appointment has been made with the clinic during normal clinic hours (Monday - Friday). Standard consultations, including routine ear and skin consultations, are included and subject to fair use as set out below:
- Consultations performed without an appointment or outside of normal clinic hours, including weekends and/or public holidays, house calls, referrals, veterinary specialists or behaviour consultations, or which exceed 15 minutes due to the client’s behaviour, are not included in the plan, and additional charges may apply
- Consultations may be performed by a veterinary nurse or veterinarian at the discretion of Rangiora Vet Centre10% discount on retail products
15% discount on medication as prescribed by the treating vet at the clinic.
15% discount on inhouse laboratory services
10% discount on Emergency Vet Hospital initial consultation, one time use only.
CHRONIC CARE ANNUAL PLAN:
Chronic Care Annual Plan entitlements (not to be used in conjunction with any other offer). Your vet will confirm if your pet’s condition is classed as Chronic and will qualify for the Chronic Care Annual Plan:
Unlimited veterinarian and veterinary nurse consultations, providing an appointment has been made with the clinic during normal clinic hours (Monday - Friday). Standard consultations, including routine ear and skin consultations, are included and subject to fair use as set out below:
- Consultations performed without an appointment or outside of normal clinic hours, including weekends and/or public holidays, house calls, referrals, veterinary specialists or behaviour consultations, or which exceed 15 minutes due to the client’s behaviour, are not included in the plan, and additional charges may apply
- Consultations may be performed by a veterinary nurse or veterinarian at the discretion of Rangiora Vet Centre10% discount on retail products
15% discount on medication as prescribed by the treating vet at the clinic.
25% discount on inhouse laboratory services, including routine monitoring services, ie; libre sensor monitoring and blood pressure monitoring
10% discount on Emergency Vet Hospital initial consultation, one time use only.
DENTAL CARE ANNUAL PLAN:
Dental Care Annual Plan entitlements (not to be used in conjunction with any other offer).
1 routine dental scale and polish procedure including full mouth xrays and full dental chart, excluding major dentals and extractions.
2 free dental nurse check ups
10% discount on additional dental services (ie major dentals and extractions)
5% discount on retail products.
4. Fair Use Policy
The member acknowledges these terms and conditions and agrees that the membership benefits are limited to reasonable usage. Reasonable usage is determined by RVC and may exclude entitlements to members on the basis of unreasonableness.
RVC may vary this policy from time to time.
In circumstances where RVC considers usage of a benefit to be unreasonable, RVC may:
notify the member that the usage is unreasonable; and
if the unreasonable usage continues after notification, may without any further notice, terminate the membership.
By joining and continuing use of the RVC Annual Care Plan, the member agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions
5. Liability
RVC will not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, expense, or claim arising from any failure, default, or delay in the supply of services or benefits to the members if caused by circumstances beyond RVC’s reasonable control, Force Majeure. RVC may elect to suspend all or part of the supply of services or benefits to the member or terminate the ANNUAL CARE PLAN on notice to the member, and if terminated, RVC will provide a refund of any prepaid subscription fees on such basis as is determined by the Management Team
RVC will not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, expense, or claim arising from the supply of services or the subscription benefits to members by any third-party service provider.
RVC does not warrant that the ANNUAL CARE PLAN or any of the subscription benefits will be available to members at any particular time or on an ongoing basis. Except to the extent the law prevents RVC from excluding liability, all conditions, warranties, guarantees, rights, remedies, liabilities or other terms that may be implied by custom, under the general law or by statute are expressly excluded.
Except to the extent the law prevents RVC from excluding liability, where a member can seek reasonable foreseeable compensation for breach, each party’s total liability to the other (whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise for any claim arising from subscription of the ANNUAL CARE PLAN and/or the supply of the benefits or services shall not exceed the price paid by the member for the ANNUAL CARE PLAN during the 12 months prior to the events that give rise to the claim.
6. Acknowledgement:
The member acknowledges these terms and conditions and agrees that by applying for membership and/or accepting any membership benefits that they (jointly and severally if applicable) are bound by these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions notified by Rangiora Vet Centre (ANNUAL CARE PLAN) Limited from time to time.
